Pianist Jeannette La-Deur has established herself over many years as a versatile chamber musician and song accompanist for renowned artists.

She performs with soloists from prestigious orchestras, including the Baden State Theatre Karlsruhe, SWR Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Frankfurt Opera Orchestra, Staatsoper Darmstadt, Staatsoper Hamburg, and Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. Her concert engagements have taken her to Norway (Trondheim, Levanger), England (Nottingham), Russia (Krasnodar Concert Hall), and many renowned places in Germany (Sendesaal Bremen, Baden State Theatre Karlsruhe, Kammermusiksaal Stadthalle Heidelberg, Ettlingen, Baden-Baden, Hambach Music Festival, and more).

In interdisciplinary concerts, she collaborates with speakers from public radio and actors such as Gunnar Schmidt and Lisa Schlegel from the Baden State Theatre.

Since 2007, Jeannette La-Deur has been a frequent guest at chamber concerts at the Baden State Theatre Karlsruhe, performing with various ensembles, such as Trio La-Deur, which she founded in 2003 with violinist Annelie Groth and clarinetist Martin Nitschmann (Karlsruhe State Orchestra). The trio’s numerous concerts and their 2007 CD “Danses de l’âme” were enthusiastically received by the press. Highlights included the Kammerkonzert Extra at the International Handel Festival in Karlsruhe in 2014, celebrated tango concerts, and regular children’s chamber concerts with actor Gunnar Schmidt. In 2023, the trio performed in Norway by special invitation, delighting audiences with their original compositions and arrangements.

As a song accompanist, Jeannette La-Deur is valued by internationally acclaimed singers such as Bernhard Berchtold, Diana Tomsche, Armin Kolarczyk, Berit Barfred Jensen, Andreas Reibenspies, and Julia Spaeth. Her broad repertoire includes classical and romantic songs as well as works by lesser-known composers and contemporary pieces.

A central focus of her artistic work is on compositions by female composers. She has curated numerous chamber music and song recitals featuring works by Tailleferre, Viardot, Boulanger, Mahler-Werfel, Bacewicz, de la Guerre, Faisst, Schweikert and many others.

Since 2011, she has been dedicated to rediscovering the Karlsruhe composer Margarete Schweikert, as an editor, pianist, and project director - a significant initiative of the GEDOK (Society of the Association of Women Artists and Art Friends) Karlsruhe that has attracted international attention. Many musical editions have been published, including an elaborately designed commemorative volume. The SWR produced three CDs featuring Schweikert's songs and chamber works, complemented by concerts, concert recordings, and radio broadcasts.

Additional world premiere recordings include Sämtliche Lieder by Philipp Wolfrum (SWR2 production) and Werke für Klarinette und Klavier by Camillo Schumann (SWR2 and cpo production).

Jeannette La-Deur grew up in the Hamburg area where she received her early musical education in piano, violin, and viola. She studied piano at the music universities in Hamburg and Würzburg, initially focusing on piano pedagogy with Ewald Kehlenbach in Hamburg, followed by the soloist diploma and master’s studies with Arne Torger in Würzburg. She gained further inspiration from master classes with Irwin Gage at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Vitaly Margulis, Hans Petermandl, and others. During her studies, she worked as a répétiteuse in various string and song classes and frequently appeared as a song accompanist at Schubertiades.
